
Presentation of the 2008 Arthur Ross Awards
In May 2008 Alexander Creswell was honoured with the 2008 Arthur Ross Award for Excellence in the Classical Tradition (Painting) at a ceremonial dinner held in the University Club, New York. This annual award is presented in 5 categories chosen from art, architecture, historical writing, custodianship and education. It is administered by the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America.
"It is a thrilling honour to have my work recognised by such an august society! In the Award's 27-year history it has only been won 6 times by British candidates.
Invested as Knight of the Order of Francis I
At a ceremony held in Westminster Cathedral, London in November 2006, Alexander Creswell had the honour of being invested as Knight First Class of the Royal Order of Francis the First.

The investiture was performed by HRH The Duke of Calabria, Grand Prefect of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St.George, and by Lord Brennan, Grand Delegate of the British & Irish Delegation of the Order.
Elected member of INTBAU
In 2006 Creswell was elected to the membership of the College for Traditional Practitioners of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism (I.N.T.B.A.U.)
